Out September 9th!
Smokin’ first full-length from Richard Root & The Fancy band, written and recorded over two years in Brasil and it’s a fucking doozy, the definition of an ambitious rock album. The rhythm section feels like it’s built on disco and sped up funk, reanimated into contemporary garage rock. The general vibe is early 70’s experimental four track shit, think those early Paul McCartney solo albums, back when it was just him and Linda in a garage somewhere, having a blast, smoking a spliff or two. The hooks are heavy and present and it’s buried in cool layers and organic textures, revealing more and more with each subsequent listen. It’s an absolutely stellar album and we’re stoked to do a run of 25 on transparent pink shells.
